Perhaps this should be renamed as “photo” … singular.

Yes, this is my third entry in 5 mins. I just need to to catch up on my blogging.
Anyway I did a shoot with Alex and Lawrence last Sunday.
The model was the lovely Claudia, and the makeup was done by Cindy.
I have to admit, I wasn’t really in a shooting mood, so I junked most of the photos. Here’s one that I felt could make it.

I’m finished up on the album layouts and the first round of processing. So while its going through the “approval” process, here’s a few of the shots that I really liked.

I realised that I still suck at shooting studio… the shots are technically ok, just that I don’t really get any breakthrough shots that I really like. Just keep shooting the same stuff. I guess the plan for the next guinea pigs (if any) would be to use Chris’ studio where there would be more things to play with.

Anyway, here are the shots, in no particular order. All outdoor of course.

I’m exhausted. Just came back not more than 2 hours ago from doing Edwin and Belle’s pre wedding shoot. I know Edwin from way back… all the way from army… and I knew Belle from Uni. Coincidentally, Edwin was also from the same polytechnic (and diploma course) as me, and jeff.

Anyway, he asked a few things about the pre-wedding packages with bridal studios, and ended up being my guinea pig for pre wedding shots.

It was a pretty fun shoot, and after a short downpour (which had us worried for a while), we still managed to get some pretty good shots.

Here’s a quick one from today. One of my favourites, after a bit of processing of course.

I realised my previous post title said “Photo: ….”. Singular. One Photo.

So anyway, after working late for the past week, I’ve finally finished the work on Jeff’s album. Its currently sitting in my album vendor’s server waiting for verification. *phew*

Anyway here’s a few of my favourite pics

This last image was one of my favourites, but for reasons unknown, it was not picked to be in the album. They picked something almost similar, but more conservative.Overall, I felt my shots weren’t a total disaster, but looking through all the shots, I feel i’m lacking in the creative space, so there weren’t as many photos as I hoped. More photos would make the album layout easier. Some execution details could be done better, and a few details escaped me during shooting that came back to haunt me during the post processing. I guess thats why I called them my guinea pigs.Still, I didn’t think it was an absolute disaster. Or maybe I’m just being to harsh on myself.

One of my good friends is getting married.

Of course, it was kind of him to volunteer to be my guinea pig to do a pre-wedding (aka studio / outdoor) shoot for his wife -to-be and him. I don’t normally do pre-wedding shoots. I’ve never been trained to deal with couples. Shooting couples is much tougher than shooting single subjects, and there are tons more details to look out for, not to mention my shortage of posing ideas.

Anyway, this is the second such shoot I’ve done. In both instances, the groom left his jacket in the studio, and we had to shoot the outdoor part without it. Must be a jinx or something. I’ll see if it happens again when I do the shoot for Edwin.

Anyway, I don’t normally shoot pre-weddings. I only do them for close friends who “volunteer” to be my guinea pigs.

I’m busy compiling their album now. Need to rush it so I can send it for printing with the chance that it will arrive before their wedding.
