ramblings: update on the kids …

Remember this post from my blog this year … those were the days when the kids were still tiny and quiet, and didn’t insist on being carried.

Now they are all grown up and much cuter. kindoff …

Anyway the younger ones are almost 8 months old, and although I regularly catch snaps of them, its pretty rare that I can get all of them in the same frame. So here are a couple of shots. Seems like they still like fighting ….

ramblings: good eyesight

In TCM, wolfberries (??) is known to improve eyesight. My mum likes to make soup with wolfberries, and as always, the family likes to encourage little amber to eat them. We tell her that eating wolfberries would help her eyesight, and let have have big pretty eyes.

So anyway, just a few days back, little amber was playing with her crayons, trying to draw and a drawing block pad we bought for her. The first colour she reached for, unfortunately, was white. The whole conversation went something like this…

sis: “No amber, you can’t use white. You can’t see what you draw if you use white”

amber, after a short pause, looked back at my sister, and in her most innocent expression, said

*something in cantonese*
[translate: never eat wolfberries. yes ?]

*speechless*

I guess its pretty amazing how kids can put things together nowadays, and watching them grow.

ramblings: Overwhelmed

Last Sunday, I went to church for the first time … (excluding the times i shot weddings in churches)

No I didn’t get a sudden twinge of guilt for all my sins. I was there for my baby niece hannah’s dedication service. As you might have guessed, I’m the “guest” photographer …*reaches behind back and stuggles to pull out the arrow still stuck there*. Hannah is now officially 1 month old, and can be let out of the house, so my mum says… as if they all go running out of the door the moment they turn 1 month old.

Anyway, here’s a couple of shots captured later that day, at home. Hannah is in pink and Irwin, the younger nephew is in blue (surprise surprise).

Attack !! *cry*

Aren’t babies adorable, especially when they aren’t yours. I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by the children in the house now. Especially by amber, the super mischievous one.

Here’s another shot, using my recently procured fisheye lens… yup, no more fighting for now.

Anyway, the 7th month of the lunar calendar is just around the corner. I’ve packed all my camera gear into my dry box and sit around eating air from the lack of wedding jobs the next 2 months. I guess that leaves me plenty of time to work on my long overdue pre-wedding album for my friend, and a website update.

p.s. no babies were hurt in the production of these photos… and no, the photos aren’t posed either.
