First of all, I don’t shoot products. I’ve experimented a bit on it some time ago, and I never liked the results so I gave up and resolved not to go into it. Shooting products require a lot of patience, eye for details, lots of imagination and creativity to visualise how you want the shots to come out, and I confess, I’m not quite the most imaginative/creative person you’ll ever meet… except when it comes to exchanging sarcastic retorts and making stupid (but creative) jokes with my friends.
So anyway last week, I got a call from geraldine who needed some help with shooting some products, so after thinking about it, I agreed to help her. It took me a couple of days to think of what I wanted, and how to achieve it, and I’ve never seen the product until that day…
And it was kinda embarrasing to run out of battery power when trying to get the last shot *blush*. I just simply forgot to pack in the batteries.
ok … enough shameless plugging/harping. Here’s the some of the shots.
Important: DO NOT COPY/USE THESE PHOTOS WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION.
The colours shifted slightly after I saved it for the web (for faster loading). I can see a couple of things (technically) I would have changed to correct some of the image details. But i guess I’m not quite a product photographer to pick out these details during the shoot, only when I started doing the cleaning up of the images.
Oh well, at least it was quite a learning experience.
