Ok, now that I’ve finally finished with the album for CM & Junie, I finally got to updating my web stuff.
As part of the first step, I’ve started changing my blog. I’ve started to move all my actual day wedding stuff into my website and moving the rest to my blog. So from now onward, all my portraits, landscapes and misc stuff are going to posted in this blog. I’ve changed the template to reflect the white/orange theme I use on my regular website, and placed an additional link section on my sidebar to link to the photos. It took me the better part of the evening to set up the flash gallery to be able to accept permalinks.
The next few things left to do is to start revamping my actual wedding site, embed music, pick out photos for a portfolio, … argghh the list is endless ! …
Anyway, if you haven’t gone to see the World Press 06 exhibition, you should just drop everything AND GO SEE IT NOW! … it at the 7 & 8th floor of the national library. I went this morning and I’m damned bloody impressed.
Ok, I’m gonna squeeze in a bit more in tonight’s entry.
In the few years I’ve done photography, I’ve encountered many tricky situations: Poor lighting, equipment failure, foul weather – to name a few. Just 3 days ago, I faced my most daunting task. I was commissioned by a important client to produce an image consisting of a handsome man with two pretty ladies. Okay, actually it was my mum, who asked me to take a photo of my nieces and nephew, for her to put in her purse. I mean, for the past few weeks, I’ve been trying unsucessfully to try to get the image, but it was always
1) Hannah was sleeping.
2) Irwin was sleeping.
3) Hannah AND Irwin were sleeping.
I mean, can’t they both just wake up for a moment ! .. arrgghh
Of course, the other issue was, Amber was the first grandchild so she was used to being the center of attention, so now, with the arrival of the 2 babies, she’s a bit jeolous. In fact, she just absolutely refuses to take a photo with Irwin. So now, I’m just trying my best to get the shot, and after that, it would probably be made into a Tom Cruise movie the next year – Mission Impossible 4.
