Cindy’s husband, Andy managed to get hold of 4 tickets for the singapore fireworks celebration display for yesterday. Unfortunately, Cindy is overseas, so she couldn’t make it, so Andy sold us the tickets.
Anyway, we’re having a burst of crappy weather the past 2 weeks, and yesterday was no exception. It was pouring in the afternoon, and when the time came for the fireworks, it has moderated to a slight drizzle, but still unpleasant.
My past few attempts at shooting fireworks were shot from the sheares bridge, which provided a fantastic spot for photography, but in the recent years, they have stopped allowing people up the bridge.
Shooting from the floating platform was actually quite a pain because of the range, as well as how quickly the place got smoked out yesterday. After firing off about 10 shots, the whole place was so smokey that all the shots came out crap, but here’s the few that could be salvaged with photoshop.
