After a six month break from shooting weddings (by my new wife’s request), I finally picked up the camera again.
I knew cindy from 5 years back. That was about 2-3 months after I returned from my overseas stint, and started honing my skills in photography. It was also through Cindy’s wide network that I first met my wife. So it was with great enthusiasm that I agreed to shoot her wedding for her.
Here’s a small selection of photos that I randomly picked out.
A lovely sunrise marks the start of the great day
I liked the light flare in this photo.
I love this shot. I don’t normally take the car decorations at this angle, but the flowers are simply lovely. Coincindentally, thats the same florist that I used for my own wedding.
Aerial view of the ballroom.
Ok.. actually thats me pinning the corsage for Andy. My wife picked up my camera and took the shot.
I like Andy’s challenging expression in this shot.
After a long break from shooting, it was great to pick up the camera again. It was even better to be picking it up for a close friend. My Best wishes to Andy and Cindy, and may you have a blissful marriage.

Ok … its not actually very new… I bought this Olympus EPL-1 about 1.5 months ago.
I’ve always wanted a small camera system that has the flexibility of a DSLR system and the profile of a point and shoot. This camera kinda meets in the middle. Its slightly larger than a point and shoot, and less powerful than a DSLR, but hey, you can’t have the best of both worlds.
Here’s how is sizes up against my working camera.
Ian’s photos in the below post are taken with this =)
Its been my wish to get hold of a small micro four-thirds camera since last year. The main draw was the considerably smaller size as opposed to a full DSLR system, but yet retaining most of the DSLR features. The significant advantage it has over the traditional point and shoot camera is the sensor size, and the interchangable lenses.
I still remember my last trip with my wife to taiwan, where I’ll lug my working camera taking wonderful photos in the morning, and end up dragging my feet with it squeezing through the packed streets of the night markets shopping. My back still hurts thinking about it. Hence, my wish for a more compact camera.
To all my friends out there who consistantly ask me which camera to buy, this would be my pick if you don’t want to invest in a DSLR.
Note to myself: post my taiwan photos

After a long hiatus, its time to start blogging again.
How the world has changed since my last post in May. I’ll be updating my blog more often from now on. I’ve got tons of new photos and updates. But first and foremost, welcoming Baby Ian.
Ian is the fourth kid to join the household, my sis’s third, my second nephew (the other two are nieces), Amber and Irwin’s little-est brother.
Hello World !
And here is amber looking at little Ian. Amber seems to be more enthusiastic about her little brother, while irwin was is mostly still in his own world. I guess when the baby goes home today, the reality will set in.
Welcome to the family little nephew.

Dear faithful blog readers, a few announcements after a long period of absence.
In case all of you are wondering about my recent shortage of posts, I’ve been rather busy sorting out my personal life. I’ve now legally married *self applause*. My traditional ceremony would be held next year. Hence, the previous blog post on photography blackout dates.
Having been a photographer for numerous years albeit part time, has given me a wonderful insight to the joys of married life. And now, I’m having lots of fun going through my own wedding plans and getting an inside view to the thought processes of couples on their wedding day. Yes, I can now empathise with many of you soon-to-be married couples out there reading my blog in looking for a photographer.
Another announcement. All the slideshows on the blog have been disabled until further notice.
